Isoproterenol Causing Coronary Vasospasm and ST Elevations During Tilt Table Testing

open access: yesJournal of Investigative Medicine High Impact Case Reports, 2020
Syncope is a sudden but reversible brief loss of consciousness secondary to an acute reduction of cerebral perfusion. Reflex syncope denotes neurologically mediated syncope, which includes vasovagal, carotid sinus syndrome, and other situational syncope.

Circulating microRNA signatures of cachexia and cancer in Canis familiaris as a comparative oncology model for human disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Circulating microRNAs as biomarkers of cachexia and sex‐specific cancer in senior dogs. In 25 client‐owned dogs, four circulating miRNAs (miR‐15a, miR‐15b, miR‐16, miR‐140) were downregulated in cachexia, with miR‐16 the strongest individual biomarker (AUC = 0.899).

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Tilt table test u dijagnostičkoj obradi bolesnika s konvulzijama [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Sinkopa se definira kao kratkotrajni prolazni gubitak svijesti i posturalnog tonusa sa spontanim i potpunim oporavkom. CILJ: Istraživanje uloge tilt-up testa (testa ortostaze) u bolesnika sa nerazjašnjenom sinkopom i njegov značaj u diferencijalnoj ...

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

235: Heart rate variability in the first five minutes of the tilt test to predict syncope? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
PurposeVasovagal syncope mechanisms, diagnostic tools and treatments are currently strongly explored and debated. The aim of this study is to specify the early cardiac autonomic adaptations to tilt test in negative and positive (cardio-inhibitory and ...

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Diagnostic value of the head-up tilt test and the R-test in patients with syncope [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The diagnostic value of the head-up tilt test (HUTT) in discovering vasovagal syndrome depends on the pre-test probability. An accurate anamnesis and clinical examination screens the patients indicated for the HUTT.

Molecular dynamics simulations of positively selected codons in FcγRI reveal novel biochemical binding properties

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

Creating a New Generation Helicopter - Tilt Rotor. Testing and Research of the Rotor (Eurocopter) and PRGB (Agustawestland) [PDF]

open access: yes
The research is based on the necessity for creating the new generation hybrid-helicopter. The goal of creating tilt rotor is delivering passengers quickly to the places, where planes can’t land.
