Tilted fiber Bragg grating-based accelerometer [PDF]
A power-referenced fiber-optic accelerometer is proposed by using a weakly tilted fiber Bragg grating (TFBG) combined with a lateral-misaligned splice structure. The recoupling of lower-order cladding modes (ghost modes), excited by the TFBG, to the fiber core via a slightly lateral-offset slice is sensitive to vibration and can be unambiguously ...

Regeneration of tilted fiber Bragg gratings
The regeneration of Tilted Fiber Bragg Gratings photowritten in a singlemode SMF-28e fiber is investigated. Three tilted FBGs, with respectively 0°, 4° and 8° external tilt angles are annealed according to a conventional high temperature regeneration protocol.

Wavelength tunable TFBG based microwave sensor using surface plasmon resonance
A noble idea is used to propose a wavelength tunable tilted Fiber Bragg Gratings based microwave sensor using surface plasmon resonance. The Bragg wavelength shifts linearly about 6 pm/°C, due to the temperature change.

Inscription and visualization of tilted fiber Bragg gratings
Tilted fiber Bragg gratings with different tilt angles have been inscribed in single-mode isotropic optical fiber with an increased photorefractivity using Talbot interferometer and KrF-excimer laser system. Their spectra are studied. Using a confocal laser scanning luminescent microscope the images of gratings in transmitted light were obtained.

Tilted fiber Bragg gratings in multicore optical fibers for optical sensing [PDF]
We have inscribed a tilted fiber Bragg grating (TFBG) in selected cores of a multicore optical fiber. The presence of the TFBG permits to couple light from the incident-guided mode to the cladding modes and to the neighbor cores, and this interaction can be used for optical sensing.

Broadband, Continuous-Wave, Mid-Infrared Generation Based on TFBG Spectral Modulation
We demonstrated a tilted fiber Bragg grating (TFBG)-based modulated amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) source, followed by the broadband, continuous-wave (CW) mid-infrared laser generated by intracavity difference-frequency generation (DFG).

A novel method of elimination of light polarization cross sensitivity on tilted fiber Bragg grating bending sensor [PDF]
The article shows the possibility of using TFBG gratings to measure the radius of curvature of fiber bending in conditions of variable polarization of the introduced light.

Single and Multiple Phase Shifts Tilted Fiber Bragg Gratings [PDF]
The spectral behavior of single and multiple phase shifts tilted fiber Bragg gratings has been experimentally investigated. To this aim, a simple and cost‐effective postprocessing technique based on local thermal treatment was used to create arbitrary phase shifts along the tilted grating structure. In particular, UV written tilted fiber Bragg gratings

TILTED FIBER BRAGG GRATING SENSORS FOR REFRACTIVE INDEX MEASUREMENTS OF LIQUID SOLUTIONS
This publication presents the basic assumptions about the light guiding mechanisms in tilted fiber Bragg gratings, transmission spectra of the fiber with such structures and their sensor properties related to the occurrence of the so-called cladding ...
