Ripples in the Pond: Product Portfolio Reconfiguration and Dynamism in the Competitive Environment

open access: yesJournal of Management Studies, Volume 63, Issue 6, Page 3645-3675, September 2026.
Abstract The management literature often overlooks how firms can alter the competitive landscape without introducing groundbreaking changes or innovations. Applying the awareness, motivation, and capability framework from competitive dynamics, we posit that as a firm intensifies its product portfolio reconfiguration, its rivals become increasingly ...

Comparative Phytochemical Profiles and Antioxidant Potential of Green and Variegated Morphotypes of Alternanthera bettzickiana Under Optimized Extraction Conditions

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2026.
Green and variegated Alternanthera bettzickiana morphotypes were compared after optimizing extraction (Box–Behnken design–RSM: 90% ethanol, 50°C, 2 h, 10 mg/mL). The green morphotype had higher phenolic content, FRAP, and ORAC activity, while the variegated morphotype had higher flavonoid and anthocyanin content.

Effect of Mobola Plum (Parinari curatellifolia) Flour Incorporation on Physicochemical, Nutritional, and Antioxidant Properties of Cornstarch‐Based Composite Flours

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2026.
Mobola plum fruit flour addition to corn starch increases the physicochemical properties of the corn starch. It reduced the protein content of the corn starch after addition. Mobola plum fruit flour addition to corn starch increased the TPC and antioxidant activities of corn starch.

Methodological Choices Strongly Modulate the Sensitivity and Specificity of Lesion‐Symptom Mapping Analyses

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 47, Issue 11, 01 August 2026.
Lesion mapping accuracy is strongly modulated by specific methodological choices. This study identifies specific analysis designs suitable for studies aiming to maximise their sensitivity and/or specificity to underlying critical correlates, while highlighting the inferential strengths and weaknesses of these complementary approaches.

Family Structure, Dwelling and Household Factors, and the Mental Health of Immigrant and Canadian‐Born Mothers

open access: yesJournal of Community Psychology, Volume 54, Issue 6, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Aims To investigate the association between household contextual factors and the mental health of immigrant and Canadian‐born mothers. Methods Guided by Bronfenbrenner's Ecological Systems Theory, we used the General Social Survey 2016, 2017 and 2018 to examine the differences in family and dwelling characteristics of immigrant and Canadian ...

Biomass Carbon in Harvest Residues of Winter Oilseed Rape Across Fertilizer N Rates: Implications for Carbon Input Estimations in Soil Carbon Models

open access: yesJournal of Plant Nutrition and Soil Science, Volume 189, Issue 4, Page 558-570, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Background: Reliable estimation of carbon (C) inputs from above‐ and belowground residues at different yield levels is crucial, as these inputs drive soil organic carbon (SOC) models for C accounting. Aims: This study quantifies C inputs from different components of winter oilseed rape (WOSR) and compares them with estimates from various ...
