Resonant photon absorption in the low spin molecule V15
We report the first study of the micro-SQUID response of a molecular system to electromagnetic radiation. The advantages of our micro-SQUID technique in respect to pulsed electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) techniques consist in the possibility to ...

Carbon nanomembranes with ultra‐thin Al2O3 functionalization are less than 15 nm thin and exhibit outstanding permeation performance with a water vapor/nitrogen selectivity higher than 1 × 104, twice that of pristine CNMs, and an exceptionally high water vapor permeation rate for potential applications in air dehumidification.

Shear‐Induced Nematic Alignment in Polysulfone Melts
Shear‐induced alignment is investigated by means of rheology and birefringence on an amorphous linear polysulfone melt. The absence of crystallization makes PSU particularly enabling to investigate temperature effects on the shear‐alignment of linear polymers, unveiling the role of chain relaxation times and possible enthalpic contributions.

Quantum Superposition States of Two Valleys in Graphene [PDF]
A system in a quantum superposition of distinct states usually exhibits many peculiar behaviors. Here we show that putting quasiparticles of graphene into superpositions of states in the two valleys can complete change the properties of the massless Dirac fermions.

A High-Precision Real-Time Temperature Acquisition Method Based on Magnetic Nanoparticles [PDF]
The unique magnetothermal properties of magnetic nanoparticles enable the development of a high-precision, real-time, noninvasive temperature measurement method with significant potential in the biomedical field.

A novel stratum corneum‐inspired zwitterionic hydrogel is developed for intelligent, flexible sensors, featuring intrinsic water retention and anti‐freezing properties. The quasi‐gel, composed of hygroscopic polymers and bound water, maintains its softness across a wide range of humidity.

Metastable superpositions of ortho- and para-Helium states [PDF]
We analyze superpositions of ortho- and para-Helium states, considering the possible existence of stationary and metastable states in the system. In particular, the metastable superposition of 1s2s ortho and para states seems to be accessible to experimental scrutiny.

Creation of macroscopic superposition states from arrays of Bose-Einstein condensates [PDF]
We consider how macroscopic quantum superpositions may be created from arrays of Bose-Einstein condensates. We study a system of three condensates in Fock states, all with the same number of atoms and show that this has the form of a highly entangled superposition of different quasi-momenta.

Time Temperature Superposition in Soft Glassy Materials
Soft glassy materials are out of thermodynamic equilibrium and show time dependent slowing down of the relaxation dynamics. Under such situation these materials follow Boltzmann superposition principle only in the effective time domain, wherein time ...
