Preparation of Stable Zein/Poly(γ‐glutamic acid) Nanocomposite Particles for Improved Encapsulation of Curcumin

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Biocompatible zein/poly(γ‐glutamic acid) nanocomposite particles are developed to enhance the stability of zein nanoparticles, which demonstrate excellent stability under a variety of environmental conditions and effective thermal protection for the encapsulated actives.

Unveiling Ultrafast Spin‐Valley Dynamics and Phonon‐Mediated Charge Transfer in MoSe2/WSe2 Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 13, Issue 8, March 13, 2025.
This study reveals the potential to manipulate spin‐valley polarization dynamics in MoSe2/WSe2 heterostructures by quantifying different scattering processes following selective photoexcitation. The results show that these heterostructures enable ultrafast valley‐selective charge transfer, with phonon scattering playing a significant role in the ...

Time temperature superposition of the dissolution of cellulose fibres by the ionic liquid 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium acetate with cosolvent dimethyl sulfoxide

open access: yesCarbohydrate Polymer Technologies and Applications, 2021
The dissolution of cellulosic flax fibres in the ionic liquid 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium acetate ([C2mim][OAc]) with cosolvent dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) has been studied.

On the representation by linear superpositions [PDF]

open access: yesJ. Approx. Theory 151 (2008), 113-125, 2015
In a number of papers, Y. Sternfeld investigated the problems of representation of continuous and bounded functions by linear superpositions. In particular, he proved that if such representation holds for continuous functions, then it holds for bounded functions.

High Fidelity Waveguides Through Vitreous Media Recomposition for Next Generation Photonic Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
A newly designed aluminosilicate glass enables the fabrication of femtosecond laser‐written optical waveguides with ultra‐low propagation losses of −0.020 dB cm−1 at 1310 nm and −0.037 dB cm−1 at 1550 nm. Raman, Brillouin, and electron microscopy analyses reveal the mechanisms behind refractive index modifications, highlighting the role of glass ...

An equation for bolt clampup relaxation in transient environments [PDF]

open access: yes
An equation for bolt clampup relaxation for transient temperature-moisture (T-M) conditions was derived starting with a relaxation equation for steady-state conditions, and then using an incremental time approach that exploits the superposition principle

Biphoton Waveforms of Photon Pair from Velocity‐Selective Atoms in a Doppler‐Broadened Atomic Ensemble

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
Telecom‐band quantum light sources have significant practical applications in this domain. This study reports the high‐performance telecom‐wavelength biphoton generation from a hot vapor cell of 87Rb. For the first time, the beat phenomenon in the autocorrelation function of the signal photon with telecom wavelength due to the velocity‐selective ...
