This paper is concerned with the ℓ∞-gain analysis problem of discrete-time positive singular systems with time-varying delays. By introducing an auxiliary system, a necessary and sufficient positivity condition is proposed for systems. Then,

The problem of designing linear time-invariant stabilizing time-delay compensators for a class of linear timeinvariant retarded time-delay systems is considered. To solve this problem, an approach, based on the continuous pole placement algorithm, is proposed. A design example is also presented to demonstrate the proposed approach.

Time delay in molecular photoionization [PDF]
Time-delays in the photoionization of molecules are investigated. As compared to atomic ionization, the time-delays expected from molecular ionization present a much richer phenomenon, with a strong spatial dependence due to the anisotropic nature of the molecular scattering potential.

Exponential stability criteria of linear non-autonomous systems with multiple delays
In this paper, we study the exponential stability of linear non-autonomous systems with multiple delays. Using Lyapunov-like function, we find sufficient conditions for the exponential stability in terms of the solution of a Riccati differential equation.

Practical and asymptotic stabilities for a class of delayed fractional discrete-time linear systems [PDF]
The practical and asymptotic stabilities of delayed fractional discrete-time linear systems described by the model without a time shift in the difference are addressed. The D-decomposition approach is used for stability analysis.

Introducing time delay in the evolution of new technology: the case study of nanotechnology
Starting with Feynman’s “There’s Plenty of Room at the Bottom” prophetic lecture at Caltech in the 1960s, the term “nanotechnology” was first coined in the scientific literature in the 1980s.

Consensus Analysis of Second-Order Multi-Agent Networks With Sampled Data and Packet Losses
In this paper, we address the consensus problem of second-order multi-agent system with sampled-data and packet losses. A Bernoulli stochastic variable is used to characterize the random packet losses in second-order multi-agent system with sampled-data ...
