Time-History Analysis of Tibet Gravel Slope

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014
In order to obtain the Tibet gravel slope’s response under earthquake, using ABAQUS analysis this kind of slope and get the peak acceleration on the key elements along the slope height. Found that the result can truly gave the max acceleration during earthquake and the acceleration distribution of the slop.

Improved Explicit Method for Time History Analysis

Volume 8: Seismic Engineering, 2007
In this paper, an explicit integration method is presented. This method is shown to have the same numerical characteristics as those of the constant average acceleration method for a linear elastic system. This implies that it is unconditionally stable for linear elastic systems.

Time History Seismic Analysis

2013
In the case of design or assessment purposes the seismic capacity of the structural system should be computed for different seismic hazard levels by means of linear or nonlinear time history seismic analyses using a number of properly selected ground motions.

Nonlinear inelastic time-history analysis of truss structures

Journal of Constructional Steel Research, 2011
Abstract This paper presents the nonlinear inelastic time-history analysis of truss structures including both geometric and material nonlinearities. The geometric nonlinearity is considered based on an updated Lagrangian formulation, while the material nonlinearity is captured by tracing an empirical stress–strain relationship in the elastoplastic ...

Accuracy of Time History Analysis of Impulses

Journal of Structural Engineering, 2003
It was found that a very small time step might be needed in the step-by-step solution of the shock response from an impulse. In fact, this time step might be much smaller than the time step needed for accurate representation of the impulse and negligible period distortion.

Seismic Time History Response Analysis of Maleo Producer

Proceedings of Offshore Technology Conference, 2008
Abstract The Maleo Producer is a converted Bethlehem JU 250 (1970's design) mat-supported jack-up that is currently operating as a gas production platform in the Madura Straits, offshore Indonesia. The field is located in a seismically active region. This paper summarizes the procedures used to assess the structural

Accuracy of Shock Response in Time History Analysis

Seismic Engineering, Volume 1, 2004
A very small time step may be needed in the solution of the shock response from an impulse. In fact, this time step might be much smaller than the time step to have accurate representation of the impulse and negligible period distortion. It will be proved that the discontinuity in external force at the end of an impulse is responsible for this ...

Redundant wavelet analysis applied to GRB time histories

Fourth Huntsville gamma-ray burst symposium, 1998
We apply Redundant Wavelet Transforms (RWTs) to GRB time histories in order to identify significant structures on various time scales. While the classical Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) also carries out a data compression and a denoising, it does not lead to a description as a set of peaks.

Time-History Analysis

2020
The purpose of this paper was the study of different types of nonlinear analysis and how they can be effectively used for the seismic assessment of structures. The differences between them and the differences between linear types of analysis. Moreover, from using software to analyze different structures to understand their effectiveness and compare ...
