Space-Time and Motion Study

Proceedings of the Human Factors Society Annual Meeting, 1983
A space-time account of movement accuracy is proposed which represents a statistical manifestation of the physical properties of the movement control system. When errors are measured in the same plane of motion, the functions for spatial and temporal error are homeomorphic.

A time and motion study of the delivery of radiation treatment

The British Journal of Radiology, 1972
Abstract A detailed observation of patient treatment using a linear accelerator was undertaken to assess the potential time savings from automation. The total time per treatment has been categorized in terms of set-up time, beam-on time and time devoted to miscellaneous tasks. Based on a series of 179 treatment sessions, a mean value of 9·8 minutes was

TB testing: time and motion study extended

Veterinary Record, 2009
We recently highlighted the joint Animal Health and BVA time and motion study of the time taken for on-farm tuberculin testing, designed to provide an up-to-date assessment of how long each element of an on-farm test takes to complete ( VR, June 13, 2009, vol 164, p 761).

TIME AND MOTION STUDIES for CHEMISTS

Chemical & Engineering News Archive, 1943
Time is the most precious fluid in existence, because it can be neither produced nor stored. We have an allotted span of time to accomplish our life's work; any loss from it is irreplaceable. If someone wastes five minutes of our time, the effect is the same as if he had sneaked into our room five minutes before the predetermined moment of our death ...

Motion Time Study with Convolutional Neural Network

2020
Manufacturing and service industries use motion time study to determine work element time and standard time for production planning and process improvement. Traditional time study is performed by human analysts with stopwatches, and therefore, is subject to uncertainties from human errors.

Hospitalist time‐motion studies: A systematic review

Journal of Hospital Medicine
AbstractBackgroundHospitalist workflows have evolved significantly, yet optimal workflows and workloads remain ill‐defined. Time and motion studies (TMSs) offer insights into hospitalist activities but face methodological challenges, including variability and lack of standardization.ObjectivesWe aimed to systematically review TMSs of hospitalist ...
