Constant modulus algorithm aided soft decision-directed blind space-time equalization for SIMO channels [PDF]
Smart antenna aided broadband beamforming plays an increasingly important role in wireless communications. The paper investigates blind space-time equalization/equalizers (STE) designed for single-input multi-output (SIMO) systems.

ABSTRACT Background Medication nonadherence during the first 100 days after pediatric hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) and during oncology treatment increases risk for complications. BMT4me is a caregiver‐facing mobile health (mHealth) application providing medication reminders, symptom tracking, and note‐taking features to support ...

Performance of a parabolic trough solar collector
The performance of a South African parabolic trough solar collector (PTSC) module has been characterised using the ASHRAE 93-1986 standard. The collector is designed for component testing and development in a solar energy research programme.

A Diversity of Intrinsic Timescales Underlie Neural Computations
Neural processing occurs across a range of temporal scales. To facilitate this, the brain uses fast-changing representations reflecting momentary sensory input alongside more temporally extended representations, which integrate across both short and long

Constant modulus algorithm aided soft decision directed scheme for blind space-time equalisation of SIMO channels [PDF]
This paper investigates a blind space–time equaliser (STE) designed for single-input multiple-output (SIMO) systems that employ high-throughput quadrature amplitude modulation schemes. A constant modulus algorithm (CMA) aided soft decision-directed (SDD)

The analysis on effect of thrust constant, spring constant, electrical time constant, mechanical time constant to oscillation displacement of slot-less linear oscillatory actuator [PDF]
This paper presents the analysis on effect thrust constant kf, spring constant ks, electrical time constant Te and mechanical time constant Tm to oscillation displacement of slot-less linear oscillatory actuator (LOA) using Permeance Analysis Method (PAM)

ABSTRACT Background Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) is one of the most treatable forms of paediatric cancer; however, there is a substantial burden of treatment‐related toxicities (TRTs). In addition, the long‐term changes in children's health‐related quality of life (HRQoL) due to toxic treatments are not well understood.

Point Location in Constant Time
We preprocess the input subdivision with $n$ points on the plane in $O(n\sqrt{\log n})$ time to facilitate point location in constant time. Previously the preprocessing time is $O(n\log n)$ and point location takes $O(\log n)$ time.

ABSTRACT A lethal round‐cell malignancy with an MN1::ZNF341 fusion has recently been reported in three infants. Here, we describe four further tumors, three in newborns (including monozygotic twins), and one in an adolescent. Detailed clinical, radiological, and histopathological data differentiate these tumors from their main mimics, neuroblastoma and
