Demo 18-28 RC Charging Curve [PDF]
When a resistor R and a capacitor C are connected in series across a voltage source the capacitor charges with a characteristic time called the time constant t, where t = RC.

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Counters are a generally useful circuit that appear in many contexts. Because of this, the design space for clocked counters has been widely explored. However, the same cannot be said for robust clockless counters. To resolve this, we designed an array of constant response time counters using the most robust clockless logic family, quasi-delay ...

Effects of Mixture Composition and Time on Dielectric Constant of Fresh Concrete [PDF]
The strength and durability properties of concrete are related to its water to cement ratio. Previous studies have shown that electrical properties of concrete appear to be related to both the water and cement contents of a mixture as well. In this study,

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Circuit analysis of RC integration circuits for use in PWM-based DACs
In scientific, educational, and engineering settings, it is often necessary to transmit analog signals to control various actuators. Examples of such devices include motors, valves, dampers, lighting, and audio equipment.

A low-cost neural sorting network with O(1) time complexity [PDF]
[[abstract]]In this paper, we present an O(1) time neural network with O(n1 + var epsilon) neurons and links to sort n data, var epsilon > 0. For large-size problems, it is desirable to have low-cost hardware solutions.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Features of using low-pass filter for small signal demodulation in phase-locking motor drive
Phase-locking motor drive based on phase-lock principal provides high accuracy and wide shaft speed range. А low-pass filter is used for PWM-signal demodulation in phase-lock loop. This type of demodulator limits loop bandwidth and working range of motor

Tolerance to high-intensity intermittent running exercise: do oxygen uptake kinetics really matter?
We examined the respective associations between aerobic fitness (VO2max), metabolic control (VO2 kinetics) and locomotor function and various physiological responses to high-intensity intermittent running exercise (HIT) in team sport players.
