Matrix representation of time-delay interferometry [PDF]
Time-Delay Interferometry (TDI) is the data processing technique that cancels the large laser phase fluctuations affecting the one-way Doppler measurements made by unequal-arm space-based gravitational wave interferometers. By taking finite linear combinations of properly time-shifted Doppler measurements, laser phase fluctuations are removed at any ...

Time delay interferometry with a transfer oscillator
Optics Letters, 2022In this work, we experimentally perform time delay interferometry by using a transfer oscillator, which is capable of reducing the laser frequency noise and the clock noise simultaneously in the post processing. The iodine frequency reference is coherently downconverted to the microwave frequency using a laser frequency comb.

Time-delay interferometry for LISA
Physical Review D, 2002LISA (Laser Interferometer Space Antenna) is a mission to detect and study low-frequency cosmic gravitational radiation through its influence on the phases or frequencies of laser beams exchanged between three remote spacecraft. We previously showed how, with lasers of identical frequencies on stationary spacecraft, the measurement of twelve time ...

Dispersion at nuclear resonance in time-delayed interferometry
Physical Review B, 1994Interference between x-ray beams scattered from a nuclear resonance in stainless-steel foils of different thicknesses has been observed. In-phase and out-of-phase oscillations have been measured for yields with three different time windows, which exist because of a sign change of the amplitude describing the time evolution of the nuclear-resonant ...

Time-delay Interferometry for ASTROD-GW
Chinese Astronomy and Astrophysics, 2012Abstract ASTROD-GW(ASTROD[Astrodynamical Space Test of Relativity using Optical Devices] optimized for Gravitational Wave detection) is an optimization of ASTROD to focus on the detection of gravitational waves. Three spacecraft in the mission are positioned respectively in the vicinity of the Sun- Earth Lagrange points L3, L4 and L5.

Time-Delayed Interferometry with Nuclear Resonance
1994Experiments are reported where interference of beams with some time delay, due to the nuclear resonance, was observed. The interference arises from the photons emitted by different nuclei with some time interval after the absorption of a single incident photon.

Time-delayed interferometry with nuclear resonant scattering
Hyperfine Interactions, 1999Experimental results of “time-delayed interferometry” with nuclear resonances at KEK are reported. Mossbauer nuclei were used as a cavity for X-rays in these experiments. Various interference effects were observed on a macroscopic scale with the “perfect crystal” interferometer.

Correlation and Data-Analysis Distinctiveness of Time-Delay Interferometry Configurations
Time-Delay Interferometry (TDI) is essential for space-based gravitational wave (GW) missions, as it suppresses laser frequency noise and achieve the required sensitivity. Beyond the standard Michelson configuration, a variety of second-generation TDI schemes have been proposed, each utilizing different combinations of inter-spacecraft laser links.openaire +1 more source
