Five‐Year Disease Progression in Synuclein Seeding Positive Sporadic Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To provide a comprehensive description of disease progression in synuclein seeding assay (SAA) positive sporadic Parkinson Disease participants, using Neuronal Synuclein Disease integrated biological and functional impairment staging framework.

Fluid Biomarkers of Disease Burden and Cognitive Dysfunction in Progressive Supranuclear Palsy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Identifying objective biomarkers for progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) is crucial to improving diagnosis and establishing clinical trial and treatment endpoints. This study evaluated fluid biomarkers in PSP versus controls and their associations with regional 18F‐PI‐2620 tau‐PET, clinical, and cognitive outcomes.

Structure–Function Decoupling of the Sensorimotor and Default Mode Networks in Black Americans With MS

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives Multiple sclerosis (MS) exhibits racially disparate rates of disease progression. Black people with MS (B‐PwMS) experience a more severe disease course than non‐Hispanic White people with MS (NHW‐PwMS). Here we investigated structural and functional connectivity as well as structure–function decoupling in the ...

Validity of a Wearable Digital Insole for Assessing Gait ON and OFF in Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Gait impairment is a distinctive symptom of Parkinson's disease that negatively impact mobility. We assessed the validity of wearable digital insoles against a validated reference gait analysis system for measuring select gait characteristics in patients with Parkinson's disease. Methods A comparative analysis between digital insoles

Time-domain images

Optics Letters, 1995
We demonstrate that, using a hologram, we can convert a spatial x-y image into an x-t image, where one spatial dimension is now transformed into the time domain. In particular, we generate the temporal equivalent of our corporate logo, where every pixel of the image is now represented by a short optical pulse.

A Domain View of Timed Behaviors [PDF]

open access: possibleFundamenta Informaticae, 2014
The intention of this paper is to introduce a timed extension of transition systems with independence, and to study its categorical interrelations with other time-sensitive models. In particular, we show the existence of a chain of coreflections leading from a category of the model of timed transition systems with independence to a category of a ...

Integrating time signals in frequency domain – Comparison with time domain integration

Measurement: Journal of the International Measurement Confederation, 2014
Abstract Integrating sampled time signals is a common task in signal processing. In this paper we investigate the performance of two straightforward integration methods: (i) integration in the frequency domain by a discrete Fourier transform (DFT), division by j ω followed by inverse DFT (IDFT) back to the time domain, and (ii) a method ...

Time domain DNP at 1.2 T

Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 2021
We present the results of an experimental pulsed DNP study at 1.2 T (33.5 GHz/51 MHz electron and 1H Larmor frequencies, respectively). The results include a comparison of constant-amplitude NOVEL (CA-NOVEL), ramped-amplitude NOVEL (RA-NOVEL) and the frequency-swept integrated solid effect (FS-ISE) experiments all of which were performed at the NOVEL ...

Compression in the Time Domain

American Journal of Audiology, 1993
High input levels can cause saturation and "fast pumping" effects in hearing aids. The resulting distortion products and changes in speech amplitude envelope are examined in the time domain. Spectrograms reveal changes in speech elements not apparent with time domain methods.
