Mortality Forecasting using Factor Models: Time-varying or Time-invariant Factor Loadings? [PDF]
Many existing mortality models follow the framework of classical factor models, such as the Lee-Carter model and its variants. Latent common factors in factor models are defined as time-related mortality indices (such as $\kappa_t$ in the Lee-Carter model).

Multivariate to Bivariate Reduction for Noncommutative Polynomial Factorization [PDF]
Based on a theorem of Bergman we show that multivariate noncommutative polynomial factorization is deterministic polynomial-time reducible to the factorization of bivariate noncommutative polynomials. More precisely, we show the following: (1) In the white-box setting, given an n-variate noncommutative polynomial f in F

Pretending to factor large numbers on a quantum computer [PDF]
Shor's algorithm for factoring in polynomial time on a quantum computer\cite{Shor} gives an enormous advantage over all known classical factoring algorithm. We demonstrate how to factor products of large prime numbers using a compiled version of Shor's quantum factoring algorithm.

Time-like pion electromagnetic form factors in $k_{T}$ factorization with the Next-to-leading-order twist-3 contribution [PDF]
We calculate the time-like pion electromagnetic form factor in the $k_T$ factorization formalism with the inclusion of the next-to-leading-order(NLO) corrections to the leading-twist and sub-leading-twist contributions. It's found that the total NLO correction can enhance (reduce) the magnitude (strong phase) of the leading order form factor by $20\% -
