Impact of Time Granularity on Histories Binary Correlation Analysis
2019Activities taken by students within a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) can be represented by using binary student histories. Virtual Learning Environments allow educators to track most of the students’ individual activities that can be used to elicit the students social communities.

Time History Analysis of Steel Tall Buildings
Advanced Materials Research, 2014The results of wind tunnel experiments were used to conduct time history analyses of three conventional square cross-section tall buildings with different structural systems. The primary purpose of the study was the direct comparison of the effects of the wind loads on the steel tall buildings.

Accuracy of Time History Analysis of Impulses
Journal of Structural Engineering, 2003It was found that a very small time step might be needed in the step-by-step solution of the shock response from an impulse. In fact, this time step might be much smaller than the time step needed for accurate representation of the impulse and negligible period distortion.

REMEDY FOR LOAD DISCONTINUITY IN TIME HISTORY ANALYSIS
International Journal of Structural Stability and Dynamics, 2012Discontinuity at the end of an impulse will lead to an amplitude distortion in a time history analysis. This amplitude distortion can be effectively reduced, if a very small time step is used to perform a complete step-by-step integration procedure. As a result, a lot of computational effort is involved.

Time-History Analysis of Tibet Gravel Slope
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014In order to obtain the Tibet gravel slope’s response under earthquake, using ABAQUS analysis this kind of slope and get the peak acceleration on the key elements along the slope height. Found that the result can truly gave the max acceleration during earthquake and the acceleration distribution of the slop.

Accuracy of Shock Response in Time History Analysis
Seismic Engineering, Volume 1, 2004A very small time step may be needed in the solution of the shock response from an impulse. In fact, this time step might be much smaller than the time step to have accurate representation of the impulse and negligible period distortion. It will be proved that the discontinuity in external force at the end of an impulse is responsible for this ...

Improved Explicit Method for Time History Analysis
Volume 8: Seismic Engineering, 2007In this paper, an explicit integration method is presented. This method is shown to have the same numerical characteristics as those of the constant average acceleration method for a linear elastic system. This implies that it is unconditionally stable for linear elastic systems.

Discrete-Time Methods for the Analysis of Event Histories
Sociological Methodology, 1982The history of an individual or group can always be characterized as a sequence of events. People finish school, enter the labor force, marry, give birth, get promoted, change employers, retire, and ultimately die. Formal organizations merge, adopt innovations, and go bankrupt.

Discrete-time event history analysis using segmented hazards
Experimental Aging Research, 1991Event history analysis is a means of explaining variation in the timing of events in individual life histories. This article describes methods for overcoming two difficult problems likely to be encountered in applications of event history analysis to studies of aging and human development.
