Timing sensory integration

IEEE Robotics & Automation Magazine, 2009
The experiments in this paper show that the impact of temporal aspects of sensory integration on the precision of movement is concordant with behavioral studies of sensory integrative dysfunction and autism. Specifically, the simulation predicts that distant grasping will be performed properly by autistic people in general, except if it requires a ...

Integration time optimization for integrating photosensors

2008 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS), 2008
We maximized the information transmission for an integrating photosensor by optimizing the integration time. As a case study, experimentally determined reset, readout and photocurrent shot noise was used to determine the capacity of a differential active pixel sensor as a function of illumination level and integration time.

Integrating time signals in frequency domain – Comparison with time domain integration

Measurement, 2014
Abstract Integrating sampled time signals is a common task in signal processing. In this paper we investigate the performance of two straightforward integration methods: (i) integration in the frequency domain by a discrete Fourier transform (DFT), division by j ω followed by inverse DFT (IDFT) back to the time domain, and (ii) a method ...

Time-multiplexing Integral Microscopy

2014 3DTV-Conference: The True Vision - Capture, Transmission and Display of 3D Video (3DTV-CON), 2014
Conventional microscopes do not capture the 3D information of thick specimens. In order to avoid this limitation Integral Microscopy was proposed. An integral microscope is implemented by inserting a microlens array between the microscope objective and the camera sensor.

Towards real-time integration

Proceedings of the 2010 ICSE Workshop on Cooperative and Human Aspects of Software Engineering, 2010
Today, most developers work in parallel inside private workspaces to ensure stability during programming, but this provokes isolation from what co-workers are doing. Isolation may result in conflicts, which must be detected as early as possible to avoid bugs and expensive rework. Currently, frequent integration and awareness are used for early conflict
