Kinetics‐Controlled Architecture of Binder‐Free Organic Electrodes for Enhanced Ion Transport

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Pulse reverse electrodeposition controls nucleation and growth to create hierarchically porous Py‐derived oligomeric electrodes with enhanced ionic accessibility and reduced transport resistance. The resulting binder‐free architectures translate these transport advantages into practical sodium‐storage functionality.

Photo‐Switchable Molecular Module Programming PET Biodegradation in Aquatic Environments

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We address the plastic durability paradox by integrating an itaconic acid–derived pyrrolidone module into polymer backbones. Sunlight in water triggers Norrish Type I ring‐opening and hydrophilization, enabling rapid biodegradation into nontoxic minerals.

Photo‐Degradable Polyester Networks and Multi‐Photon Printed Objects Based on Cyclic Ketene Acetals

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The current work introduces a photoreversible polyester network derived from radical ring‐opening polymerization of cyclic ketene acetals. It combines photoreversible cross‐linking with initiator‐free multi‐photon printing. Reversible network formation, tunable mechanical properties, and selective degradation highlight its potential as a versatile ...

Oligoethylene Glycol Side‐Chain Engineering of Y6‐Derived Nonfullerene Acceptors for Thermally Induced Spontaneous Pseudo‐Planar Heterojunction Organic Photodetectors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
OEG‐functionalized Y6‐derived acceptors induce thermally driven vertical phase separation, enabling pseudo‐planar heterojunction organic photodetectors. The resulting PM6:YTEG‐4F and PM6:YTEG‐4Cl organic photodetectors suppress dark current density by approximately 260‐fold and 210‐fold, respectively, while maintaining efficient photoresponse ...

Three-Dimensional Convolutional Neural Network for Ultrasound Surface Echo Detection

open access: yesSensors
Ultrasound array imaging frequently employs a coupling medium to facilitate wave transmission from the transducer to the target component. Surface echoes, identified by their high-amplitude peaks, are crucial for determining the Time of Flight (TOF) in ...

Genetically Programmed Shape‐Morphing of Engineered Living Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Here, bacterial and mammalian engineered living materials (ELMs) are presented, in which living cells direct genetically programmed and enzymatically mediated shape‐morphing. The resulting deformation and shape‐recovery can be actuated in a genetically controlled manner by an ELM incorporating out‐of‐equilibrium counteracting biochemical reactions with

High-Precision Time-of-Flight Extraction of Ultrasonic Echoes from Ring Arrays Using a Physics-Informed Neural Network

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Installation eccentricity of an in-pipe ring array changes the water-layer propagation path and degrades time-of-flight (TOF) extraction in small-diameter thin-walled tubes.
