Antipersistent binary time series

open access: yes, 2001
Completely antipersistent binary time series are sequences in which every time that an $N$-bit string $\mu$ appears, the sequence is continued with a different bit than at the last occurrence of $\mu$.

SARIMA Approach to Generating Synthetic Monthly Rainfall in the Sinú River Watershed in Colombia

open access: yesAtmosphere, 2020
Seasonal Auto Regressive Integrative Moving Average models (SARIMA) were developed for monthly rainfall time series. Normality of the rainfall time series was achieved by using the Box Cox transformation.

Times Series: Cointegration [PDF]

open access: yesSSRN Electronic Journal, 2014
An overview of results for the cointegrated VAR model for nonstationary I(1) variables is given. The emphasis is on the analysis of the model and the tools for asymptotic inference. These include: formulation of criteria on the parameters, for the process to be nonstationary and I(1), formulation of hypotheses of interest on the rank, the cointegrating

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 20, Issue 6, Page 1453-1472, June 2026.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Detecting nonlinearity in multivariate time series

open access: yes, 1995
We propose an extension to time series with several simultaneously measured variables of the nonlinearity test, which combines the redundancy -- linear redundancy approach with the surrogate data technique.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Identification of serum protein biomarkers for pre‐cancerous lesions associated with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 20, Issue 6, Page 1473-1493, June 2026.
This work identified serum proteins associated with pancreatic epithelial neoplasms (PanINs) and early‐stage PDAC. Proteomics screens assessed genetically engineered mice with abundant PanINs, KPC mice (Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐KrasG12D/+ Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐Trp53R172H/+ Pdx1‐Cre) before PDAC development and also early‐stage PDAC patients (n = 31), compared to benign ...

Periodicity in wide-band time series [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Summary: To test the hypotheses that (i) electroencephalograms (EEGs) are largely made up of oscillations at many frequencies and (ii) that the peaks in the power spectra represent oscillations, we applied a new method, called the Period Specific ...

Modelling Time Series Extremes

open access: yesRevstat Statistical Journal, 2012
The need to model rare events of univariate time series has led to many recent advances in theory and methods. In this paper, we review telegraphically the literature on extremes of dependent time series and list some remaining challenges.
