Artificial Tactile Perception System for Exploring Internal and External Features of Objects via Time‐Frequency Features

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By engaging in different active exploration behaviors, the tactile perception system can generate distinct signal modes, enabling the application of targeted decoding strategies for efficient and accurate perception of both external and internal object features.

Time Temperature Superposition Shift Factors for Fabric Composites

open access: yes
Physical aging of polymers is a thermodynamic phenomenon that occurs in the glassy regime. Upon cooling, the thermal contraction is restricted by a lack of adequate free volume within the polymer structure. This leaves the polymer in a state of thermodynamic non-equilibrium which relieves itself over long timescales.

The Core–Shell Conformational Space of Compartmentalized Single‐Chain Nanoparticles by Paramagnetic and Hyperpolarized NMR Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Combinations of integrative NMR spectroscopy and molecular dynamics simulations reveal the internal structural dynamics of single‐chain nanoparticles. Abstract Single‐chain nanoparticles (SCNPs) are formed by the collapse of individual polymer chains, generating entities comparable to proteins in size, internal structure, and function.

The dynamical evolution of exciton-polaritons in asymmetric ring-step potential well

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics
The exciton-polariton, a quasi-particle formed by the coupling of excitons and photons, exhibits a semi-light-semi-matter nature, inheriting the advantages of both constituents and capable of achieving Bose-Einstein condensation at room temperature. This

Resolving the relaxation complexity of vitrimers: Time-temperature superpositions of a time-temperature non-equivalent system

open access: yesPolymer
Vitrimers are polymer networks that, thanks to covalent bond exchange, combine desirable properties of thermoplastic and thermosets, such as flowability and insolubility. For this reason, vitrimers are considered to be good candidates for a number of innovative applications from self-healing soft robots to hard reprocessable materials.

A Dynamic Gate Enables Regioselective Hydroxylation of Free Arginine by a Non‐Canonical Heme Enzyme

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The YqcI/YcgG enzyme AglA employs a unique “sandwich” fold and a dynamic gating mechanism to selectively hydroxylate AMPn‐Arg at Nε. Site‐directed mutations reprogram regioselectivity or enable activity on free arginine by altering hydrogen‐bond networks, precisely positioning substrates.

Nonlinear viscoelastic characterization of structural adhesives [PDF]

open access: yes
Measurements of the nonliner viscoelastic behavior of two adhesives, FM-73 and FM-300, are presented and discussed. Analytical methods to quantify the measurements are given and fitted into a framework of an accelerated testing and analysis procedure ...

Prediction model for rutting of asphalt concrete pavement considering temperature influence

open access: yesCase Studies in Construction Materials
This study, based on Perzyna's visco-plastic theory, proposes a new elastic-viscoplastic constitutive model. This model accurately predicts the rutting deformation of asphalt concrete pavement under various temperatures and traffic load conditions ...
