Blind space-time multiuser detector

2002 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems. Proceedings (Cat. No.02CH37353), 2003
Space-time transmission diversity schemes have been known to provide considerable spectral efficiency as compared to other prevalent schemes. Space-time codes are also essential to exploit the full potential in a multiple antenna system. We propose a new blind signal detection of a user in a multiple user case where each of the users has multiple ...

Real-time detector of GSM terminals

IEEE Communications Letters, 2001
The authors propose a feasible real-time GSM terminal detector, to be located in a restricted area. All idle terminals entering it are forced to emit signaling information, which can be captured. As far as the authors know, market alternatives are nonexistent. A possible application is presented: a mobile terminal detector for airport access bridges.

Real-time robust pitch detector

[Proceedings] ICASSP-92: 1992 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 1992
The authors propose a cumulant-based method to perform voice-unvoiced decision and pitch period estimation. The approach is based on the nature of excitation for different states of speech. The authors accomplished this goal by analyzing cumulant-related time sequences obtained via nonlinear processing of the speech signal.

On the Timing Placement in the G-Rake Detector

2005 2nd International Symposium on Wireless Communication Systems, 2005
Amongst the different receiver structures proposed for interference suppression in code division multiple access systems, the G-Rake receiver introduced in G.E. Bottomley, et al (2000) presents some interest for its simple structure and relatively low complexity.

Timing System for Ge(Li)-Detectors

IEEE Transactions on Nuclear Science, 1972
Abstract A timing system for coincidence and nuclear lifetime measurements with Ge(Li) detectors is described. The timing discriminator, based on the ARC-principle, is designed using integrated circuits. Uncompensated pulses from low energy events near the threshold of the timing discriminator are eliminated by a special internal coincidence circuit.

Detector dead time in particle counting detectors

SPIE Proceedings, 2010
Dead time in detectors limits the capability of the detector to work at high counting rates. A correction for dead time can be used to estimate the particle flux from a measurement. A motivation for operating detectors at high counting rates is to get the best statistical accuracy.

Real-time SRAM based particle detector

2015 6th International Workshop on Advances in Sensors and Interfaces (IWASI), 2015
Monitoring radiative environments is of great importance, especially for facilities hosting large particle accelerators and nuclear power plants. Such facilities make use of monitoring systems that are usually composed of different sensors to evaluate the intensity of the ambient radiation field in different locations. In this paper, we propose an SRAM-

Local Lines: A linear time line detector

Pattern Recognition Letters, 2003
Summary: This paper introduces LOCAL LINES--a robust, high-resolution line detector that operates in linear time. LOCAL LINES tolerates noisy images well and can be optimized for various specialized applications by adjusting the values of configurable parameters, such as mask values and mask size.

Timing property of BGO-detector

Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section A: Accelerators, Spectrometers, Detectors and Associated Equipment, 1993
Abstract The timing property of the BGO-detector for time-of-flight capture cross-section measurement was investigated. Several methods were applied to determine the number η of photoelectrons per energy unit. The time response functions of the BGO-detector were measured and calculated.
