In this manuscript, an interesting phenomenon was found that partially or entirely hollow CdS nanotube arrays (PEH CdS NT) were obtained after photocorrosion of CdS nanorod arrays (NR). The forming process of PEH CdS NT was studied in detail. Afterwards,

Anodic TiO2 Nanotube Arrays as Fixed Photocatalyst
In the present study, self-organized TiO2 nanotube arrays were prepared by anodic oxidation in a viscous electrolyte of ethylene glycol containing NH4F with a concentration of 1,25% wt. the anodized samples expose single-walled nanotube arrays with an average pore diameter and wall thickness of about 80 and 15 nm, respectively.

Epitaxial hetero-structure of CdSe/TiO2 nanotube arrays with PEDOT as hole transfer layer for photoelectrochemical hydrogen evolution [PDF]
The photocatalytic decomposition of water is believed to be able to help mitigate the crisis of fossil fuel depletion. However, the photocatalytic hydrogen production remains challenge to obtain high and stable photoconversion efficiency.

Photoelectrochemical properties of “increasingly dark” TiO2 nanotube arrays [PDF]
Abstract “Black” TiO2 nanotube arrays (TNTAs) of different darkness are formed by thermal reduction of anodic TiO2 nanotube layers in H2 atmosphere at different temperatures (300–500 °C), and their (photo-)electrochemical properties are studied by IPCE spectroscopy, transient photocurrent measurements, IMPS, PEIS, CV, and Mott-Schottky analysis ...

Electronic structures and optical spectra of thin anatase TiO2 nanowires through hybrid density functional and quasiparticle calculations [PDF]
The electronic properties of quasi-one-dimensional anatase TiO2 nanostructures, in the form of thin nanowires having (101) and (001) facets, have been systematically investigated using the standard, hybrid density functional and quasiparticle ...

Electrical Transport Properties of Polycrystalline and Amorphous TiO2 Single Nanotubes
The electrical transport properties of anodically grown TiO2 nanotubes was investigated. Amorphous nanotubes were anodically grown on titanium foil and transformed through annealing into the anatase phase.
