3D‐Printed Gradient Shape‐Memory Strain Sensors With Rewritable Gauge Factors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A 3D‐printed shape‐memory strain sensor combines thermomechanical programming with gradient architectural design. Preset strain rewrites the gauge factor (GF), while the gradient geometry amplifies the response through strain redistribution. Reprogrammable sensitivity enables the same sensor to detect weak pulse signals and monitor large‐amplitude ...

Reaction‐Time pH Stabilization by Poly(acrylic acid) with Ethanol‐Mediated Growth Control for Efficient Hydrothermal Sb2(S,Se)3 Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Poly(acrylic acid) acts as a reaction‐time pH buffer during hydrothermal Sb2(S,Se)3 growth through its COOH/COO‐ equilibrium. When combined with ethanol‐regulated growth, this buffering strategy reduces Sb‐O related surface disorder, improves local electronic uniformity and carrier collection, and increases the champion solar‐cell efficiency to 10.25%,

Beyond Thin Film Limits—Superhard and Hydrogen‐Free Amorphous Carbon Coatings With Over 100 µm Thickness

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
For the first time, an extreme‐thick laser‐arc PVD ta‐C (DLC) coating exceeding 100 µm is demonstrated, opening up new possibilities for ultra‐high load bearing capacity. This superhard amorphous carbon architecture combines >50% sp3 bonding, robust adhesion and self‐supporting performance, shielding substrates from plastic flow under extreme contact ...

Engineered Microvascular Model of the Blood–Brain–Tumor Barrier Reveals Endothelial Remodeling in Diffuse Midline Glioma

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
We developed a patient‐derived, functional microfluidic model of the diffuse midline glioma (DMG) blood–brain–tumor barrier (BBTB) comprised of endothelial cells, astrocytes, pericytes, and tumor cells. The system forms perfusable microvasculature, reveals the BBTB retains vascular integrity, identifies DMG‐specific transcriptomic changes distinct from

Spatially Controlled Embedded Bioprinting of Prevascularized Spheroids‐Containing Biopatch Enables Functional Skin Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A spatially controlled embedded bioprinting strategy enables precise engineering of prevascularized multicellular spheroids within skin‐derived dECM bioinks. Optimized spheroid size, composition, and spacing promote vascular maturation, paracrine signaling, and tissue integration, resulting in enhanced angiogenesis, blood perfusion, and functional skin

Targeting CD300a Signaling With a Phosphatidylserine‐Presenting Hydrogel Rescues Macrophage Dysfunction and Accelerates Diabetic Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration of the proposed mechanism: PEG/RGD‐PSLs mimic apoptotic cells to engage PS receptors (notably CD300a), transducing an inhibitory signal that suppresses the MyD88/NF‐κB pathway, leading to global anti‐inflammatory and pro‐reparative effects.
