Pier Luigi Nervi’s design process of hangars
JAPAN ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW, Volume 4, Issue 3, Page 455-468, July 2021., 2021 This paper analyzes the design changes when Nervi designed the airplane hangar during the interwar period, focusing on the structural form. At the end of the design phase, the transition from pin joints to rigid joints reveals Nervi's preference for an integral and a monolithic structure.
