The Tipulidae fauna of southwestern Turkey
A total of 3091 Tipulidae was collected in the provinces of Antalya, Aydin, Burdur, Denizli, Isparta and Mugla between 2003 and 2006, comprising altogther 63 species of the genera Dolichopeza, Nephrotoma and Tipula. Tipula (Lunatipula) zimini semiopaca Savchenko, 1964, is new for Turkey.

Prionocera revisited (Diptera: Tipulidae)
The Canadian Entomologist, 2012AbstractThe synonymy of Prionocera chosenicola Alexander with Prionocera tjederi Mannheims is discussed and the following syn. nov. is proposed: Prionocera mannheimsi Savchenko = Prionocera byersi Brodo. Prionocera parrii (Kirby) remains a nomen dubium.

The descriptions and ecological characteristics are given of larvae and pupae of Tipula (Vestiplex) leucoprocta Mik, T. (V.) kashkarovi Stack. and T. (V.) virgatula montivaga S a v. according to the materials from Terskei-Ala-Too (the basin of Chon-Kyzyl-Su river).
