EEG Abnormalities in Clinically Diagnosed Brain Death Organ Donors in Iranian Tissue Bank

open access: yesActa Medica Iranica, 2012
Brain death is defined as the permanent, irreversible and concurrent loss of all brain and brain stem functions. Brain death diagnosis is based on clinical criteria and it is not routine to use paraclinical studies.

Adaptive Elastin‐Like Hydrogel with Unidirectional and Controllable Anisotropic Actuation for Soft Robotics and Tissue Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Fiber‐reinforced elastin‐like tubular scaffolds are engineered to achieve anisotropic and reversible actuation under external stimuli. By adjusting fiber's angle, actuation behavior is finely tuned, enabling distinct actuation responses, even within different regions of the same scaffold.

Optimization of the Isolation Method for Large‐Scale Production of Synthetic Bacterial Vesicles for Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Therapeutics, EarlyView.
This study introduces a reliable technique for the large‐scale production of bacterial vesicles that maintain their immune‐modulating potential, enabling industrial manufacturing and clinical applications. Although other cancer immunotherapies are available, this research presents an advanced bacterial vesicle‐based therapeutic option, with scalable ...

SMYD3 Promotes Immune Evasion in Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma via SREBP1‐Mediated Transactivation of CD47

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cancer cell‐intrinsic SMYD3 orchestrates an immunosuppressive microenvironment and impairs the response to PD‐1 blockade by reprogramming immune cells landscape in the tumor microenvironment of clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). The immunomodulatory function of SMYD3 is mediated via the SREBP1/CD47 pathway.
