What influences the harmonisation of cancer tissue banks in the UK?: an ethnographic study
Persuasive arguments exist as to why the harmonisation of tissue banks is important. Yet harmonisation has not happened on a large scale and empirical research has not investigated the reasons for this in detail.

Dysregulated TCA cycle contributes to Alzheimer's disease (AD) pathogenesis. Here, we show that microglial isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1) is a critical driver. Elevated IDH1 disrupts citrate metabolism and mitochondrial function, exacerbating AD pathology.

Microbial Odorant Detection Guides Drosophila Parasitoids Seeking Hosts in Fermenting Fruits
Yeast microbes in fermenting fruits attract both host flies and their parasitoid wasps. Female Leptopilina boulardi detect yeast‐emitted ethyl esters via two olfactory receptors, LbouOR167 and LbouOR136. A conserved residue, Leu159, is critical for binding these compounds, enabling female wasps to locate host‐rich habitats.

A supramolecular nanocomplex based on phenolic‐modified silk sericin is developed to deliver antioxidant enzymes across the blood–brain barrier and escape lysosomal degradation. This dual‐barrier‐crossing system reduces neuroinflammation and improves cognitive performance in Alzheimer's disease mouse model, offering a promising strategy for protein ...

Discovery of a Potent Fluorescence Polarization Probe for Identifying USP1 Allosteric Inhibitors
This study presents the first ubiquitin‐specific protease 1 (USP1) allosteric fluoroprobe and fluorescence polarization assay, enabling the differentiation of allosteric and catalytic site inhibitors. Further, a novel class of tetrahydroisoquinoline‐based USP1 inhibitors is designed, with compound 14a (USP1 IC50 = 29.9 nM) showing strong selectivity ...

Cryopreservation of Cardiovascular Tissue
Since Dr. Angell introduced cryopreservation method for tissue preservation in 1980s, it became a preferred method for cardiovascular tissues. Cryopreservation has been proven to provide better cell viavility and clinical result than any other ...
