Tissue Doppler echocardiography
Current Opinion in Cardiology, 1999Tissue Doppler echocardiography (TDE) is a relatively recent addition to the diagnostic ultrasonographic examination. This is similar to routine Doppler ultrasonography to assess blood flow, but technologic features focus on lower velocity frequency shifts. Two techniques are used to assess myocardial function: pulsed TDE and color-coded TDE.

Technological advances in tissue Doppler imaging echocardiography
Heart, 2008Tissue Doppler imaging is a recently introduced echocardiographic tool for measuring myocardial velocities. In this article the physical principles and different myocardial velocity imaging modalities are discussed. Examples of practical applications and clinical use of this non-invasive imaging technique are provided.

Reproducibility of Pulsed Wave Tissue Doppler Echocardiography
Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography, 1999Four hundred and eighty paired recordings obtained from 16 patients (55 +/- 10 yrs; 10 men, 6 women) were analyzed to determine the reproducibility of both acquiring and measuring myocardial velocities recorded by tissue Doppler echocardiography.

Tissue Poppler Echocardiography
Echocardiography, 1999Tissue Doppler echocardiography is a new ultrasonographic approach to the quantification of myocardial function. It is based on the interrogation of the high amplitude, low velocity reflected ultrasound signals from the myocardium. Velocity data can be obtained during pulsed‐ or color Doppler methodologies.

Tissue Doppler Imaging in Echocardiography: Value and Limitations
Heart, Lung and Circulation, 2015Tissue Doppler imaging (TDI) is a useful echocardiographic technique to evaluate global and regional myocardial systolic as well as diastolic function. It can also be used to quantify right ventricular and left atrial function. Recent studies have demonstrated its utility as a diagnostic as well as prognostic tool in different cardiac conditions ...

Tissue Doppler echocardiography.
Minerva cardioangiologica, 2010Tissue Doppler echocardiography, since its introduction more than 2 decades ago, had revolutionized echocardiography. In the quest to directly quantify myocardial function, increase sensitivity to detect early subtle myocardial dysfunction and improve ease of use, tissue Doppler echocardiography has evolved from pulsed wave tissue Doppler, to color ...

[Use of tissue Doppler echocardiography].
Przeglad lekarski, 2001Tissue Doppler Echocardiography (TDE) is a new noninvasive technique which shows myocardial tissue by color-mapping. It's based on the color Doppler and used to assess in a direct way left ventricular systolic and diastolic function. It helps to measure velocities, acceleration and energy signal within the myocardial wall.

[Pulsed wave tissue Doppler echocardiography].
Anadolu kardiyoloji dergisi : AKD = the Anatolian journal of cardiology, 2003Tissue Doppler imaging is a recently developed technique that allows direct measurement of regional or global systolic and diastolic myocardial motion velocities. Myocardial velocities may be recorded in the pulsed wave tissue Doppler (PWTD) or color tissue Doppler. Pulsed wave tissue Doppler appears to be relatively independent of preload and provides

Value of Tissue Doppler Echocardiography in Children with Pulmonary Hypertension
Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography, 2012The impact of pulmonary hypertension (PHT) on right ventricular and left ventricular (LV) function in children with PHT is unknown, and echocardiographic data combining conventional and Doppler tissue imaging (DTI) on PHT in children are sparse.Forty-one children (18 male; mean age, 7.9 ± 5.6 years) with PHT and structurally normal hearts (27 with ...
