A New Animal Model for Tissue Preservation
Journal of Reconstructive Microsurgery, 2001In vivo preservation of tissues may exist as a problem in experimental and clinical research. Adipose tissue, nerves, and vessels are the tissues that are usually preserved in vivo for future use or for the evaluation of results in experimental research. Limited volume and difficult conditions in such areas in animal models usually create disappointing

Tissue Preservation and Factors Affecting Tissue Quality
2021Acquisition of reliable and reproducible results from tissue samples can be complicated due to the introduced variations in the signals to be measured during the sample pre-analytical phase. Such variations are introduced during tissue processing because the cells in the tissue are still alive and respond to their surroundings until they are conserved ...

PRESERVATION OF CORNEAL TISSUE FOR TRANSPLANTATION
Archives of Ophthalmology, 1946WITH the advent of the corneal transplantation operation, there has been a gradual intensification of interest in the donor material to be used for this operation. The institution of the Eye Bank for Sight Restoration to supply adequate material for this operation is a step forward in the right direction, for this organization facilitates a rapid ...

Vascular Tissue Preservation Techniques
1994Pharmacological studies on isolated blood vessels generally require freshly obtained tissues. These are usually taken from various animals, although results obtained from human tissue would be the most accurate and predictable for human pharmacology. Human tissue can be obtained from surgery and autopsy, but besides obtaining human material, the main ...

Tissue Preservation under Stress
This ARPA-H program follows from the successful DARPA Biostasis program, which aims to extend the time for lifesaving medical treatment, often referred to as “the Golden Hour” following traumatic injury or infection, thus increasing survivability for military personnel operating in far-forward conditions with limited access to medical professionals or ...openaire +1 more source
[Chemoluminescence of preserved bone tissue].
Biofizika, 1977The luminescence of bone tissue was studied during its treatment at preservation. It was found that vacuum drying as well as bone saturation with ascorbic acid and some antibiotics (streptomycin, monomycin) depressed the luminescence emission. Combined influence of these factors was found to be more difficult than for each one separately.
