Quantification of Magnetic Interactions in van der Waals Heterostructures Using Lorentz Transmission Electron Microscopy and Off‐Axis Electron Holography

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Cross‐sectional Lorentz TEM and off‐axis electron holography visualize the magnetic domain structure and quantify interlayer coupling in Fe3GeTe2/graphite/Fe3GeTe2 heterostructures. A stray‐field coupling length of 37±$\pm$7 nm marks the onset of domain misalignment between the layers.

The New Titan Planetary Climate Model. II. Titan’s Haze and Cloud Cycles

open access: yesThe Planetary Science Journal
Observations of Titan have long revealed the presence of seasonal cycles, including haze, clouds, and gases. The lack of information on the different processes that govern these cycles prevents us from understanding all the phenomena taking place in ...

Spontaneous Nanopatterning and Strain Relaxation in SiGe Layers Grown by Oxidative Solid‐Phase Epitaxy

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Thin SiGe buffer layers are grown by oxidative solid‐phase epitaxy, resulting in a nanopatterning of varying Ge concentration across the surface of the sample. The nanopatterning is caused by a hexagonal network of dislocations on the SiGe/Si(111) interface, and is visible by scanning electron microscopy, providing a non‐destructive method for ...

Degradable Magnetic Composites from Recycled NdFeB Magnets for Soft Actuation and Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This work presents a degradable soft magnetic composite made from recycled NdFeB particles embedded in a gelatin‐based organogel. The material is processed into magnetic sensors and soft robotic components, which can later be dissolved in a green solvent to recover NdFeB magnetic particles.
