Calcination‐Induced Pore Evolution in TiO2 Supports Governing Ni Accessibility for Dry Methane Reforming

open access: yesChemistryOpen, Volume 15, Issue 5, May 2026.
Ni/TiO2 catalysts with tunable pore structures were developed to study how support calcination temperature affects Ni accessibility and dry reforming of methane (DRM, CH4 + CO2 → syngas). Low‐temperature TiO2 forms mesopores that trap Ni, while high‐temperature calcination generates macroporous/plate‐like structures that expose Ni and enhance catalytic

The Effect of Sulphate Doping on Nanosized TiO2 and MoOx/TiO2 Catalysts in Cyclohexane Photooxidative Dehydrogenation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Photoenergy, 2008
The effect of sulphate doping of titania in promoting activity and selectivity of MoOx/TiO2 catalysts for the cyclohexane photooxidative dehydrogenation has been investigated in a gas-solid fluidized bed reactor.

Integrating TiO2/SiO2 into Electrospun Carbon Nanofibers towards Superior Lithium Storage Performance

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2019
In order to overcome the poor electrical conductivity of titania (TiO2) and silica (SiO2) anode materials for lithium ion batteries (LIBs), we herein report a facile preparation of integrated titania–silica–carbon (TSC) nanofibers via ...

Nickel Nanoparticles Prepared via Colloidal Synthesis as CO2 Hydrogenation Catalysts on Various Support Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, Volume 368, Issue 8, 15 April 2026.
Small aromatic ligands are used to synthesize Ni particles between 1 and 4.4 nm. After deposition on various supports, an alkylating agent and subsequent reduction procedure are used to remove the ligands. On SiO2, the Ni particles remained small, but on Al2O3 they sintered severely.

Photocatalytic degradation of an organophosphorus compound by porous Au- and WO3- modified TiO2 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Organophosphorus (OP) compounds are highly toxic substances that are often used as chemical warfare agents and pesticides. OP pesticides are the most widely used class of pesticide in the world, and due to their ubiquity, the contamination of ...

Transfer Hydrogenation of Organic Azides to Amines by Ammonia Borane Complex Under Mild Conditions Catalyzed by Reusable Au Nanoparticles

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, Volume 29, Issue 14, 15 April 2026.
Organic azides are readily reduced to amines under mild conditions by ammonia borane complex, catalyzed by a low loading level of reusable Au nanoparticles supported on TiO2. We present the first protocol for the chemoselective reduction of organic azides to amines by ammonia borane complex. In the presence of a low catalytic amount of Au nanoparticles

Minimum Noise Optical Coatings for Interferometric Detectors of Gravitational Waves

open access: yes, 2014
Coating Brownian noise is the dominant noise term, in a frequency band from a few tens to a few hundreds Hz, for all Earth-bound detectors of gravitational waves. Minimizing such noise is mandatory to increase the visibility distance of these instruments,
