Viscoelastic Engineering and Thermoreversibility of Aqueous TiO2 Sol–Gels for Efficient Photocatalytic Coatings

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, Volume 311, Issue 10, October 2026.
Temperature‐controlled ageing tailors water‐based TiO2 sols by linking viscosity evolution to coating formation and photocatalytic performance. Incubation at 50°C (T‐i) promotes optimal aggregation, producing dense and uniform nanocrystalline anatase coatings with near‐complete HCHO degradation.

Photoinduced Ethylene Polymerization on Titania Nanoparticles

open access: yesChemCatChem, 2017
AbstractHerein, we report on the ability of H2‐photoreduced TiO2 nanoparticles to catalyze the polymerization of ethylene without the use of an alkylating agent. Even more, we demonstrate that the same reaction occurs directly on stoichiometric TiO2 in the presence of ethylene under UV‐light irradiation at room temperature and, thus, without any ...

Cerium‐Modified TiO2 Nanomaterials Derived From Upcycled Coffee Ground Waste for Photocatalytic Oxidation and Hydrogen Production via Photoreforming

open access: yesChemistryOpen, Volume 15, Issue 10, October 2026.
Spent coffee grounds were valorized as a sustainable template for the solvent‐free synthesis of Ce‐loaded TiO2 photocatalysts, promoting enhanced Ce–Ti interactions and tailored morphology. The resulting materials were successfully applied in photocatalytic hydrogen production via ethanol photoreforming, gas‐phase 2‐propanol oxidation, and aqueous 5 ...
