Biostratigraphy and magnetostratigraphy of the upper Tithonian–Berriasian of the Crimean Mountains [PDF]
Abstract Our data from studies over many years on upper Tithonian–Berriasian strata of the Crimean Mountains are summarised. Their zonal subdivision has been significantly refined using ammonites and foraminifera, as well as on the basis of calpionellid, ostracod and dinocyst distributions.

Cieneguiticeras, a new genus of Tithonian oppeliids (Ammonoidea, Late Jurassic)
Geobios, 2010Abstract The new genus Cieneguiticeras , assigned to the family Oppeliidae, is described on the basis of Andean lower-middle Tithonian ammonites from Arroyo Cieneguita, west-central part of the Neuquen-Mendoza Basin, Argentina. The macroconchs are closely homoeomorphic with Neochetoceras Spath and the microconchs have a ‘glochiceratid’-type ...

The Pliensbachian and Tithonian extinction events
Nature, 1986The claim by Raup and Sepkoski1, that an approximately 26-Myr mass extinction periodicity can be recognized on a global scale at family level over the past 250 Myr, has excited much attention and provoked speculation about an ultimate extraterrestrial cause2–10.

Zapaliinae, a new subfamily of Tithonian–Berriasian ataxioceratid ammonites
PalZ, 2017The recent recognition of the earliest Andean Tithonian ammonite fauna (Picunleufuense Zone) has allowed a balanced classification of the ataxioceratid ammonites, reflecting their phylogenetic relationships. The Picunleufuense Zone fauna, first recognized in the Neuquen Basin at the base of the Vaca Muerta Formation, is represented by numerous records ...
