Pokrovni usjevi u konzervacijskoj poljoprivredi

Formulation of gauge theories on transitive Lie algebroids

open access: yes, 2012
In this paper we introduce and study some mathematical structures on top of transitive Lie algebroids in order to formulate gauge theories in terms of generalized connections and their curvature: metrics, Hodge star operator and integration along the ...

Toward understanding the catalytic mechanism for two classes of bacterial phospholipid N‐methyltransferases

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
Phospholipid N‐methyltransferases (Pmts) synthesize phosphatidylcholine in many bacteria. In this study, we compared the catalytic mechanisms of two bacterial Pmt classes: the Rhodobacter (R‐) and the Sinorhizobium (S‐) type. Representative enzymes for each class were derived from Rubellimicrobium thermophilum and Agrobacterium tumefaciens ...

Implementation of total laboratory automation at a tertiary care hospital in Saudi Arabia: effect on turnaround time and cost efficiency

open access: yesAnnals of Saudi Medicine, 2018
BACKGROUND: Total laboratory automation (TLA) is a relatively new way of improving the management of high volume clinical laboratories. TLA may reduce staff, reduce operating costs, decrease testing time and provide enhanced process control.

Numerical and experimental verification of a theoretical model of ripple formation in ice growth under supercooled water film flow

open access: yes, 2011
Little is known about morphological instability of a solidification front during the crystal growth of a thin film of flowing supercooled liquid with a free surface: for example, the ring-like ripples on the surface of icicles.

Flexible-Resolution, Arbitrary-Input and Tunable Rotman Lens Spectrum Decomposer (RL-SD)

open access: yes, 2017
We present an enhanced design -- in terms of resolution flexibility, input port position arbitrariness and frequency-range tunability -- of the planar Rotman lens spectrum decomposer (RL-SD).

Planned Approach and Implementation of Pharmacology Teaching in the Bachelor's Veterinary Nursing Programme in Sweden

open access: yesJournal of Veterinary Pharmacology and Therapeutics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Veterinary Nurses play a key role in handling drugs and perform medication treatments, thus pharmacological knowledge is essential. The veterinary nurses' role varies widely worldwide but does not include the prescription of drugs. Nevertheless, pharmacology is a complex subject within veterinary nursing education and for the registered ...

Coherent population trapping in a dressed two-level atom via a bichromatic field

open access: yes, 2008
We show theoretically that by applying a bichromatic electromagnetic field, the dressed states of a monochromatically driven two-level atom can be pumped into a coherent superposition termed as dressed-state coherent population trapping.
