FEBS Letters, 2008 We report the amyloid-like properties of Escherichia coli transthyretin-like protein (TLP). TLP is 32% homologous to human transthyretin (hTTR), and is also tetrameric. In contrast to hTTR, TLP does not bind thyroxine.
