Porcine TLR2 and TLR6: Identification and Their Involvement inMycoplasma hyopneumoniaeInfection

Journal of Interferon & Cytokine Research, 2003
We successfully cloned and sequenced porcine toll-like receptor (TLR2) and TLR6 cDNA from porcine alveolar macrophages stimulated with 10 microg/ml lipopolysaccharide (LPS). The open reading frames (ORFs) of the porcine TLR2 and TLR6 cDNA were shown to be 2358 and 2391 bp in length and to encode 785 and 796 amino acids, respectively.

Single nucleotide polymorphisms and haplotypes of TLR6 gene in Chinese Cantonese population

International Journal of Immunogenetics, 2010
SummarySequence polymorphisms in the coding region of Toll‐like receptor 6 gene were investigated in Chinese Cantonese population. By amplifying and sequencing a 2787 bp segment containing the entire coding region of TLR6 gene of 191 individuals in Chinese Cantonese population, a total of seven single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) along with their ...

Involvement of TLR6/1 in rLcrV-mediated immunomodulation of murine peritoneal macrophages in vitro

Molecular Immunology, 2005
LcrV of Yersinia pestis is an enigmatic antigenic protein having multiple functions such as effector, translocator and regulator in Type III secretion system. In present study, it is reported that rLcrV causes subversion of macrophage-mediated immune functions.

TLR6 protects first trimester trophoblast cells from TLR2/TLR1 mediated apoptosis

American Journal of Reproductive Immunology, 2006
Introduction:  Increased trophoblast apoptosis has been observed in pregnancy complications such as preeclampsia. The factors promoting this cell death are unknown. Trophoblasts express Toll‐like receptors (TLR), enabling them to recognize microorganisms. In response to the TLR2 ligand peptidoglycan (PDG), trophoblasts undergo apoptosis suggesting that

Testosterone persistently dysregulates hepatic expression of Tlr6 and Tlr8 induced by Plasmodium chabaudi malaria

Parasitology Research, 2014
Testosterone (T) is known to induce persistent susceptibility to Plasmodium chabaudi malaria. Pathogens recognizing Toll-like receptors (TLRs), though potentially important against malaria, have not yet been examined for their T-sensitivity. Here, we investigate effects of T and P.

Therapeutic targeting in colorectal cancer for the treatment of liver metastasis: TLR6.

The liver is the most common site of metastasis in patients with colorectal cancer (1-5).  We recently utilized whole transcriptome technologies to define the full complement of differentially expressed kinases and phosphatases in HER2+ breast cancer: in the primary tumor, and in metastasis to the CNS (6-8).
