Background/purpose: Our previous study found that 222 of 884 burning mouth syndrome (BMS) patients have thyroglobulin antibody (TGA) positivity and/or thyroid microsomal antibody (TMA) positivity but without gastric parietal cell antibody positivity ...

Ultrathin Oxide Films by Atomic Layer Deposition on Graphene [PDF]
In this paper, a method is presented to create and characterize mechanically robust, free standing, ultrathin, oxide films with controlled, nanometer-scale thickness using Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) on graphene.

Alumina growth narrows surface pores and seals non‐selective defects, enhancing selectivity while preserving the nanoporous graphene architecture. Additionally, the deposition enables gradient‐controlled structural modification, with intergrown alumina acting as a physical cross‐linker that stabilizes the laminar structure.

TMA, A Forgotten Uremic Toxin, but Not TMAO, Is Involved in Cardiovascular Pathology
Trimethylamine-N-oxide (TMAO) has been suggested as a marker and mediator of cardiovascular diseases. However, data are contradictory, and the mechanisms are obscure. Strikingly, the role of the TMAO precursor trimethylamine (TMA) has not drawn attention

Actuating and Sensing Composites of Liquid Crystal Elastomers and Poly(ionic liquid)s
Ionic conductive, mechanically tough, flexible, and stretchable filaments of a composite material comprising a liquid crystal elastomer and a poly(ionic liquid) are produced through 3D printing, which exhibit large actuation strain under stimulation and electrical resistance variation in response to deformation or environmental condition changes. Their

Electro‐Chemo‐Mechanical Coupling in Hf0.5Zr0.5O2 Ferroionic Heterostructures
Schematic of a ferroionic HZO heterostructure where epitaxial interfaces enable dynamic oxygen‐vacancy exchange, coupling ionic and ferroelectric degrees of freedom. Vacancy‐mediated polarization modulation biases HZO polymorphism, suppresses leakage, and enhances piezoelectric response, yielding distinct butterfly‐loop evolution and diode‐like ...
