TNP-470 inhibits intraabdominal adhesion formation
Journal of Pediatric Surgery, 2000Angiogenesis plays an integral role in wound healing and tissue remodeling. The authors hypothesized that inhibition of angiogenesis would reduce intraabdominal adhesion formation. In 98 C57BL6/J mice, a 2-cm midline laparotomy was performed and a 5 mm2 SILASTIC (Dow Corning, Midland, MI) patch fixed to the right side of the peritoneum.

Is TNP in the open abdomen safe and effective?
Journal of Wound Care, 2009Much of the evidence for the use of TNP in the open abdomen comes from data on trauma patients. In view of the potentially severe complications, much greater evidence is needed for its application on patients with abdominal ...

Contact sensitization by epicutaneous application of picryl chloride causes in mice a significant reduction of the antibody responses to immunogenic TNP-conjugates. This split unresponsiveness is along-lasting. It was found that hapten applied on the skin became attached to the serum proteins and the transfer of such a serum into normal recipients ...
