Proteolytic remodelling of the extracellular matrix by pericytes
Pericytes are specialised perivascular cells intimately connected with endothelial cells and essential for the maintenance of vascular beds. They contribute to the formation and remodelling of the extracellular matrix by actively secreting proteases and protease inhibitors.

ABSTRACT Background Parkinson's disease is the second most common neurodegenerative disorder globally. Despite growing attention to palliative care in Parkinson's disease, little is known about what constitutes a “good death” from the perspective of people living with Parkinson's disease (PLwPD).

Random Integrated Subdata Ensemble Method for Key Variable Selection in Rare Event Setting
ABSTRACT We propose a general variable selection procedure to identify key input variables by applying elastic net regression to representative subdata in place of the full sample to select variables. We combine the lists of selected variables from each subdata through ensemble techniques, using the frequency of selecting the variable across different ...

A growing body of evidence indicates that trap-neuter-return (TNR) is not only effective at reducing community cat numbers, but that such reductions are sustainable over extended periods. Recently, a series of peer-reviewed articles documenting long-term

Herbaria worldwide hold centuries of plant data that are key to understanding and protecting biodiversity; however, even with increased digital access, differences in plant naming systems make it difficult to compare records. We developed a semi‐automated workflow that standardises species names and organises herbaria records from multiple institutions

Large palynological collections have been built over decades and contain vital information. However, they are often difficult to access and use effectively. What is the point of having such collections if they are not fully utilizable? To solve this problem, we digitized the Smithsonian palynological collection using both light and confocal microscopy.

The value of herbarium specimens depends largely on the accuracy and accessibility of the data captured, which is dependent on curation practices. Previous studies have shown high levels of misidentification in collections, which become more problematic with increased access.

Exploring Costa Rica's fungal trends: Insights from digitized specimens
Fungi are essential to tropical ecosystems but remain largely absent from conservation agendas. By analyzing over 78,000 fungal records from Costa Rica—a globally recognized biodiversity hotspot—this study reveals key patterns in fungal diversity, distribution, and seasonality.

Ordered titanate nanoribbon (TNR)/SnO2 films were fabricated by electrophoretic deposition (EPD) process using hydrothermally prepared titanate nanoribbon as a precursor. The formation mechanism of ordered TNR film on the fluorine-doped SnO2 coated (FTO)

ABSTRACT The development of new methods for covariate model building (CMB) in population pharmacokinetics (popPK) highlights the need for a standardized evaluation framework for method benchmarking. This data paper introduces PMX‐CovEval, a framework including a collection of datasets based on 127 distinct scenarios.
