Alternative specification tests for Tobit and related models [PDF]

open access: yesEconomics Letters, 1986
Abstract Recently Small and Hsiao (1985) proposed a specification test for the multinomial logit model as an alternative for the Hausman specification test. We show that Small and Hsiao's test procedure can also be applied to Tobit and related models.

Electrolyzed saline as an alternative to chlorhexidine: Antimicrobial and biofilm volume outcomes in a 4‐day non‐brushing randomized controlled clinical trial

open access: yesJournal of Periodontology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background The biofilm‐inhibitory effects of electrolyzed saline (EOS) vary widely due to differences in formulations and treatment methods. This study analyzed the impact of EOS on key oral microbial species and used serial 3D‐intraoral scans to evaluate its effects on de novo biofilm formation.

WP 21 - A two-step first-difference estimator for a panel data tobit model [PDF]

open access: yes
This study formulates an easy-to-use two-step first-difference estimator for a panel data Tobit model. In the first step a bivariate Probit is estimated, using all observations. These estimates are used to construct correction terms that are added to the

Tobit or OLS? An Empirical Evaluation Under Different Diary Window Lengths [PDF]

open access: yes
Time use researchers frequently debate whether it is more appropriate to fit censored regression (Tobit) models using maximum likelihood estimation or linear models using ordinary least squares (OLS) to explain individuals’ allocations of time to ...

Sustainable Business Models and Environmental Innovation Capacity: The Moderating Role of Board Effectiveness

open access: yesSustainable Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Sustainable Business Models (SBMs) reflect the degree to which sustainability principles are embedded across firms' business model architectures. However, the mere adoption of these models does not guarantee improvements in environmental innovation capacity due to internal organizational inertia.
