ABSTRACT Purpose To develop a software‐based active electromagnetic interference (EMI) suppression (AES) framework on whole‐body multi‐channel MRI systems for reliable MRI and MR thermometry during MRI‐guided microwave ablation (MWA). Methods In addition to primary imaging coils, an unloaded standard body array coil was positioned outside the imaging ...

Bounds on Toeplitz Determinant for Starlike Functions with Respect to Conjugate Points
This paper is concerned with the estimate of the upper bounds of the Toeplitz determinants |T2(3)| and |T3(3)| for functions belonging to the subclass of starlike functions with respect to conjugate points.

The Mathematical History Behind the Granger–Johansen Representation Theorem
ABSTRACT When can a vector time series that is integrated once (i.e., becomes stationary after taking first differences) be described in error correction form? The answer to this is provided by the Granger–Johansen representation theorem. From a mathematical point of view, the theorem can be viewed as essentially a statement concerning the geometry of ...

Discrete Toeplitz Determinants and their Applications. [PDF]
In this dissertation, we consider the asymptotics of discrete Toeplitz determinants. We find a simple identity which express a discrete Toeplitz determinant as the product of a continuous Toeplitz determinant and a Fredholm determinant, whose kernel only

Abstract Accurately predicting solute transport remains a central challenge in hydrogeology due to limited data and multiscale subsurface heterogeneity. Fractional Brownian motion (fBm) is widely used to model the logarithm of hydraulic conductivity fields.

Determinants of multiplicative Toeplitz matrices [PDF]
In this paper we study matrices A = (aij) whose (i;j) th -entry is a function of i=j; that is, aij = f(i=j) for some f :Q + !C. We obtain a formula for the truncated determinants in the case where f is multiplicative, linking them to determinants of truncated Toeplitz matrices.

Abstract Large swarms often adopt a hierarchical network structure that incorporates information aggregation. Although this approach offers significant advantages in terms of communication efficiency and computational complexity, it can also lead to degradation due to information constraints.

Multiple phases in a generalized Gross-Witten-Wadia matrix model
We study a unitary matrix model of the Gross-Witten-Wadia type, extended with the addition of characteristic polynomial insertions. The model interpolates between solvable unitary matrix models and is the unitary counterpart of a deformed Cauchy ensemble.
