Modeling of the Hα Emission from ADITYA Tokamak Plasmas
The spatial profile of Hα spectrum is regularly measured using a high-resolution multi-track spectrometer in ADITYA tokamak to study the neutral particle behavior.

Multiscale modelling for tokamak pedestals [PDF]
Pedestal modelling is crucial to predict the performance of future fusion devices. Current modelling efforts suffer either from a lack of kinetic physics, or an excess of computational complexity. To ameliorate these problems, we take a first-principles multiscale approach to the pedestal.

Differential and Integral Models of TOKAMAK
Modeling of 3D electromagnetic phenomena in TOKAMAK with typically distributed main and additional coils is not an easy business. Evaluated must be not only distribution of the magnetic field, but also forces acting in particular coils.

Measurement of MAST edge ion temperatures and velocities [PDF]
A novel experimental method using gas puffing of neutrals to stimulate charge exchange emission has been developed to measure ion temperatures and toroidal rotation velocities in the edge of MAST.

Modelling the capacitance of the elongated plasma in tokamak
AbstractThe capacitance model suitable for the non-circular cross-section plasma is studied based on the capacitance model of the circular cross-section plasma. The coaxial elliptic-torus capacitor property is further derived and used to determine the capacity of non-circular cross-section tokamak plasma, such as EAST (Experimental Advanced ...

Transport Simulasion in a Burning Tokamak Plasma [PDF]
A one-dimensional tokamak transport code (TASK/TR) has been developed to analyze the evolution of a burning plasma accompanied with fusion reaction. This code deals with the electrons, deuterons, tritons, thermalized α particles, fast α particles and ...

Runaway electron generation during tokamak start-up [PDF]
Tokamak start-up is characterized by low electron densities and strong electric fields, in order to quickly raise the plasma current and temperature, allowing the plasma to fully ionize and magnetic flux surfaces to form.

Representation and modeling of charged particle distributions in tokamaks [PDF]
Experimental diagnostics, analysis tools and simulations represent particle distributions in various forms and coordinates. Algorithms to manage these data are needed on platforms like the ITER Integrated Modelling & Analysis Suite (IMAS), performing tasks such as archiving, modeling, conversion and visualization. A method that accomplishes some of

Computer Modelling of Boundary Plasmas in Tokamaks
Details of the numerical modelling and method of the UEDA code which was developed for the analysis of the boundary plasma are described. The code employs a two-dimensional dynamic fluid model for fuel and impurity ions. The transport of the neutral gas is solved with the Monte Carlo method and coupled to the fluid equations.

Tungsten boride shields in a spherical tokamak fusion power plant [PDF]
The favourable properties of tungsten borides for shielding the central high temperature superconductor (HTS) core of a spherical tokamak fusion power plant are modelled using the MCNP code.
