Model of the major disruption in tokamaks

open access: yesNuclear Fusion, 1992
A mechanism for the onset of the major disruption in tokamaks is proposed which considers the effect of magnetic stochasticity on the growth of the m=2 tearing mode. Toroidicity can cause stochasticity near the separatrix of the m=2 magnetic island, which enhances the current viscosity, resulting in explosive growth.

SOLPS-ITER modeling of beryllium trace impurity in ITER

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
Beryllium transport modeling was carried out in the trace impurity regime by SOLPS-ITER code for tokamak ITER. It is valuable for developing of diagnostics protection from beryllium deposition.

Evaluation of an Oxygen Transport Coefficient in the Aditya Tokamak Using the Radial Profile of O4+ Emissivity and the Importance of Atomic Data Used Therein

open access: yesAtoms, 2019
Oxygen impurity transport in the typical discharges of the Aditya tokamak was investigated using emissivity radial profile of emissivity of the spectral line (2p3p 3D3−2p3d 3F4) at 650.024 nm from the Be-like oxygen ion.

Quantum Iterative Methods for Solving Differential Equations with Application to Computational Fluid Dynamics

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, Volume 9, Issue 2, February 2026.
Quantum algorithms for differential equations are developed with applications in computational fluid dynamics. The methods follow an iterative simulation framework, implementing Jacobi and Gauss–Seidel schemes on quantum registers through linear combinations of unitaries.

Steady State Tokamak Sustained by Bootstrap Current Without Seed Current [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
Steady state tokamak solution is studied by taking into account the current diffusivity. The seed current for generating the Bootstrap current is supplied through the radial diffusion of the Bootstrap current.

Relation between porosity‐based and crystal‐based femtosecond laser‐induced nanogratings in oxide glasses

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Glass Science, Volume 17, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract Femtosecond laser irradiation in glass, under controlled conditions, can induce two types of nanogratings (NG): porous nanogratings (pNG) and crystal/glass nanogratings (cNG). While most glasses exhibit only one type, binary aluminosilicate glasses have shown both types of NG.

Magneto‐Thermal Assessment of Ferrofluid Flow in Corrugated Porous Domain With Rotating Cylinder for Nuclear Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Energy Research, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
This research presents a novel approach by combining magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) flow with ohmic heating to investigate the conjugate mixed convective transport of ferrofluid in a discretely heated, smooth/wavy‐walled, square‐shaped porous compartment featuring a clockwise spinning cylindrical body positioned at various locations.

Formulation of Two-Dimensional Transport Modeling in Tokamak Plasmas [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
A two-dimensional transport modeling applicable to a whole tokamak plasma is proposed. The model is derived from the multi-fluid equations and Maxwell's equations and the moment approach of neoclassical transport is employed as fluid closures.
