Comparative 3D‐anatomy of Appendicularian Endostyles (Tunicata, Chordata) ‐ A Tale of Reduction
Appendicularia are chordates that possess endostyles, a pharyngeal gland homologous to vertebrate thyroid. Here, we describe the detailed 3D‐anatomy of endostyles based on light‐ and electron microscopy. We identified seven cell types arranged in specific patterns.

TET family proteins play a critical role in DNA demethylation, and their mutations and dysregulation contribute to the onset of multiple diseases. With a deeper understanding of the molecular mechanisms of TET involvement in disease, drug therapy targeting TET proteins shows great potential, which provides insights into new therapeutic strategies ...

ICI‐induced myositis occurred at a higher‐than‐expected rate (12%) in neoadjuvant‐treated rectal cancer patients receiving CRT+ICI. Elevated cTnT, but not cTnI, differentiated skeletal from cardiac involvement. Immunopathology showed a predominant CD8+ T cell infiltrate, highlighting a T cell‐mediated mechanism that necessitates early detection and ...

Between Two Extremes: Tripsacum dactyloides Root Anatomical Responses to Drought and Waterlogging
ABSTRACT Plant roots are the critical interface between plants, soil, and microorganisms, and respond dynamically to changes in water availability. Although anatomical adaptations of roots to water stress (e.g., the formation of root cortical aerenchyma) are well documented, it remains unclear whether these responses manifest along the length of ...

This study successfully develops an injectable, dual‐function nanocomposite hydrogel comprising kartogenin‐loaded aminated hollow mesoporous Prussian blue (NH2‐HMPB) nanozyme (termed NH@K nanozyme) and hyaluronic acid methacrylate (HAMA). NH@K nanozyme rejuvenates the senescent microenvironment by scavenging reactive oxygen species and inhibiting ...

Lipase M Is Essential for Skin Barrier Function in Mice
ABSTRACT A functional skin barrier is essential for restricting water losses for terrestrial animals. The outermost layer of this barrier, the stratum corneum, consists of corneocytes (derived from terminally differentiated keratinocytes) coated with a protein‐rich envelope and a conjugated lipid‐rich envelope embedded in an organised hydrophobic ...

A genome‐wide CRISPR‐Cas9‐based genetic screen in cisplatin‐resistant NSCLC cells revealed 63 potential candidate genes for overcoming cisplatin resistance, including GPR89A. GPR89A, localised in the Golgi, modulates voltage‐gated anion channel activity and is involved in intracellular pH reduction.
