Abstract Species distribution models (SDMs) are one of the most common statistical methods to assess species occupancy and geographic distribution patterns. With the increasing complexity and availability of ecological data in the marine context, many methodological approaches have been developed to support SDM analysis.

Key drivers of at‐vessel mortality in demersal sharks
Abstract Chondrichthyans are highly vulnerable to fisheries overexploitation, and postcapture mortality poses a significant threat to most species. Global bycatch mitigation guidelines recommend adopting hierarchical decision‐making approaches tailored to species‐specific vulnerabilities and socioeconomic and regulatory contexts.

Insights from equitable governance assessments in conservation areas around the world
Abstract Global policy commitments to ensure that protected and conserved areas (PCAs) are equitably governed have increased interest in empirically assessing and analyzing social equity. Although numerous assessments have been conducted in individual PCAs, there is limited empirical insight into equity as a multidimensional concept beyond the site ...

Abstract Alaska's seascape supports globally significant seabird populations, including vulnerable and threatened species, and hosts economically important commercial fisheries and marine transportation corridors. Seasonal patterns of seabird movements and vessel traffic create a complex landscape of risk, defined as high levels of co‐occurrence ...

Overcoming barriers to build partnerships for managing plant invasions under global change
Abstract Non‐native plant invasions are a cross‐boundary conservation challenge, requiring coordinated management and policy responses underpinned by science. Global change is expected to exacerbate this challenge by changing abiotic and biotic drivers of invasive plant distribution, abundance, and impact. Current approaches may no longer be effective,

ABSTRACT A recent survey in the Philippines, PRESYON‐4, showed increasing prevalence of hypertension from 22% in the 1990s to 37% in 2021, of which only 52% were aware of their diagnosis. While rates of treatment and adherence were 68% and 86%, respectively, the rate of BP control was low at 37%. Furthermore, there remained a high degree of unawareness

ABSTRACT Background &Aims Growth differentiation factor‐15 (GDF‐15), a cell stress‐induced cytokine, is implicated in liver disease pathophysiology. We investigated GDF‐15 in cirrhosis, focusing on its association with disease‐driving pathomechanisms, platelet function, hepatic decompensation, and mortality.

A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analytic Assessment of Unpredictability and Disordered Eating
ABSTRACT Perceived unpredictability, whether it relates to experiences, food availability, or belief systems, may predict disordered eating behaviors and affect weight gain and future health. Past studies investigating the associations of unpredictability and disordered eating, however, have shown inconsistent findings.
