Sustainable Flame Retardant System with Thermomechanically Modified Stinging Nettle Tailored for Polyamide 12

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, Volume 311, Issue 6, June 2026.
A sustainable flame retardant system for polyamide 12 is developed by combining melamine polyphosphate with thermomechanically modified stinging nettle. The plant‐derived component alters degradation pathways, enhances char formation, and reduces heat release.

Optic Nerve Lesion Volume, White Matter Hyperintensities, and Brain Volumetrics in Multiple Sclerosis: A Multi‐Sequence MRI‐Based Analysis

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Neurology, Volume 33, Issue 6, June 2026.
Optic nerve lesion volume (ONLV) strongly correlates with white matter hyperintensities (WMHs), T1‐weighted black holes, and brain atrophy, supporting its role as a potential imaging biomarker of multiple sclerosis severity. ABSTRACT Objectives To examine the association between optic nerve lesion volume (ONLV) on double inversion recovery (DIR) MRI ...

Co‐pathologies and biological processes beyond amyloid‐beta and tau in people with Alzheimer's disease: Evidence from clinical cohort studies

open access: yesJournal of Internal Medicine, Volume 299, Issue 6, Page 694-710, June 2026.
Abstract Alzheimer's disease (AD) is neuropathologically defined by amyloid‐beta (Aβ) plaques and tau neurofibrillary tangles. However, co‐pathologies and other pathobiological processes are involved in the pathogenesis of AD, contributing to neurodegeneration and clinical symptoms.
