Supervised Reconstruction for Silhouette Tomography [PDF]
In this paper, we introduce silhouette tomography, a novel formulation of X-ray computed tomography that relies only on the geometry of the imaging system. We formulate silhouette tomography mathematically and provide a simple method for obtaining a particular solution to the problem, assuming that any solution exists.

Quantitative quality control of 3D water tank using image analysis
Abstract Background and objective Accurate beam data acquisition using three‐dimensional (3D) water tanks is essential for beam commissioning and quality control (QC) in clinical radiation therapy. This study introduces a novel method for quantitative QC of the system, utilizing MV images and webcam videos.

Undersampled dynamic X-ray tomography with dimension reduction Kalman filter [PDF]
In this paper, we consider prior-based dimension reduction Kalman filter for undersampled dynamic X-ray tomography. With this method, the X-ray reconstructions are parameterized by a low-dimensional basis. Thus, the proposed method is a) computationally very light; and b) extremely robust as all the computations can be done explicitly.

Abstract Purpose Histotripsy is a focal tumor therapy that utilizes focused ultrasound (US) to mechanically destroy tissue. To overcome visualization limitations of diagnostic US‐guidance, C‐arm cone beam CT (CBCT)‐guided histotripsy is being developed, for which a mobile C‐arm could increase accessibility. CBCT‐guided histotripsy uses a phantom with a

An Analysis for IDH‐Mutant Grade 4 Astrocytoma Based on WHO CNS 5: Implication of Clinical Practice
ABSTRACT Purpose There is ongoing debate regarding the therapeutic approach and prognosis for IDH‐mutant grade 4 astrocytoma, a newly defined subtype of diffuse glioma in the 2021 WHO classification system for central nervous system tumors (WHO CNS 5). The aim of this study was to explore the clinical outcome and prognosticators for newly diagnosed IDH‐

Robust dark-field signal extraction for modulation-based X-ray tensor tomography [PDF]
We demonstrate a robust signal extraction method for X-ray speckle-based tensor tomography. We validate the effectiveness of the method for several carbon fiber composites, highlighting its potential for industrial applications. The proposed method can be adapted to various acquisition schemes and wavefront-marking optical elements, making it a ...
