FIRST PRISMATIC BUILDING MODEL RECONSTRUCTION FROM TOMOSAR POINT CLOUDS [PDF]
Abstract. This paper demonstrates for the first time the potential of explicitly modelling the individual roof surfaces to reconstruct 3-D prismatic building models using spaceborne tomographic synthetic aperture radar (TomoSAR) point clouds. The proposed approach is modular and works as follows: it first extracts the buildings via DSM generation and ...

Geodetic TomoSAR – Fusion of SAR Imaging Geodesy and TomoSAR for 3D absolute Scatterer Positioning
In this paper, we propose a framework referred to as “geodetic TomoSAR“ that fuses the SAR image geodesy and TomoSAR approaches to obtain absolute 3D positions of a large amount of natural scatterers. The methodology is applied on four Very High Resolution (VHR) TerraSAR-X spotlight image stacks acquired over the city of Berlin.

Forest height estimation combining single-polarization tomographic and PolSAR data
Forest height is of great significance for forest resource management and forest carbon sink estimation. Tomographic synthetic aperture radar (TomoSAR) technology provides an effective means for the accurate inversion of this parameter.

From TomoSAR Point Clouds To Objects
Advanced interferometric techniques, such as SAR tomography, when applied over very high resolution data provided by modern SAR satellites, allows generation of 4-D point clouds of the illuminated area making them very attractive for generating dynamic city models from space.

L-Band UAVSAR Tomographic Imaging in Dense Forests: Gabon Forests
Developing and enhancing strategies to characterize actual forests structure is a timely challenge, particularly for tropical forests. P-band synthetic aperture radar (SAR) tomography (TomoSAR) has previously been demonstrated as a powerful tool for ...

TerraSAR‐X StripMap Data Interpretation of Complex Urban Scenarios with 3D SAR Tomography
The severe layover problem of complex urban scenarios in SAR data makes SAR data interpretation very difficult, especially for nonexperts. In this paper, we use 3D SAR tomography for SAR data interpretation of dense urban areas. An efficient and robust approach named Butterworth‐filter based singular value decomposition (BSVD) is used for tomographic ...

SAR Tomography Based on Atomic Norm Minimization in Urban Areas
Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) tomography (TomoSAR) is a powerful tool for the three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction of buildings in urban areas. At present, the compressed sensing (CS) technique has been widely used in the TomoSAR inversion of urban ...
