THE ROLE OF DICTION IN SHAPING TONE IN LITERATURE

This article has shown that diction by the author is a lynchpin in setting up the tone for any work an author creates. It starts by defining what exactly diction is: its various constituents being vocabulary, syntax, and formality-and it has highlighted how these choices influence the emotional response a reader will have with the text.

Pure-Tone Acuity, Speech-Hearing Ability And Deafness In Acoustic Trauma

From the literature, it is shown that pure-tone and speech-reception threshold are related in people with sensorineural disorder (as a general diagnostic category). The same cannot be reliably concluded, however, from results in people with a cochlear disturbance, such as acoustic trauma.
