Identification of novel genes regulating the development of the palate

open access: yesDevelopmental Dynamics, EarlyView.
Abstract Background The International Mouse Phenotyping Consortium (IMPC) has generated thousands of knockout mouse lines, many of which exhibit embryonic or perinatal lethality. Using micro‐computed tomography (micro‐CT), the IMPC has created and publicly released three‐dimensional image data sets of embryos from these lethal and subviable lines.

Generalised bumblebee–flower interactions demonstrate weak floral niche partitioning despite a high bee diversity

open access: yesEcography, EarlyView.
Niche partitioning is one of the key mechanisms allowing species coexistence and is especially relevant in species‐rich communities. For pollinators, morphology is a major axis in which species differentiate their foraging niche, as it influences the match with flower morphology. Bumblebees Bombus spp.

Zinc and Cobalt Coordination Polymers Based on the Redox‐Active Linker 4,4′‐(Phenazine‐5,10‐diyl)dibenzoate: Structures and Electrochemical Properties

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, EarlyView.
The two novel Zn‐ and Co‐based coordination polymers with the redox‐active (H)PZDB−/2− linker exhibit oxidative color changes due to radical cation formation of the linker as confirmed by spectroelectrochemical analysis. The novel coordination polymers [Zn(PZDB)(DEF)2]n (Zn‐PZDB) and [Co(HPZDB)2(DEF)2]n (Co‐HPZDB) (H2PZDB = 4,4′‐(phenazine‐5,10‐diyl ...

Production of Early and Normal Harvest Olive Oils Under Industrial Conditions and Comprehensive Comparison of the Oils Produced

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Lipid Science and Technology, EarlyView.
Olives were harvested at early and normal times from the same orchards and processed in the same industrial plant under the same conditions and compared comprehensively. Although early harvested olive oils were liked more by consumers, their yield was lower. Further, some compositional differences existed.
