A hyperspectral tongue imaging system is developed and used in tongue diagnosis. The basic principles and instrumental systems as well as its applications in tongue diagnosis are introduced. A tongue segmentation algorithm which can simultaneously utilizes spectral and spatial information of the hyperspectral tongue images data is also presented.
