Malignant Neoplasm of the Tongue Mimicking an Oral Pyogenic Granuloma: A Case Report
Pyogenic Granuloma (PG) is a benign reactive lesion characterised by tissue hyperplasia caused by local irritants. The gingiva is the most common site of occurrence in the oral cavity, followed by the tongue and buccal mucosa. It typically presents as a pedunculated or sessile mass.

The publications devoted to tongue diseases do not analyze errors in cyanic diagnostics of its benign tumors and tumor-like neoplasms. At the same time this question is of undoubted practical interest. We have analyzed the frequency of clinical errors in diagnosing benign neoplasms of the tongue in the conditions of specialized hospital.
